food-docs is a small company founded in 2016. Our goal is to help small- to medium-sized food producers comply with the new FDA nutrition labeling regulations as painlessly as possible, and maybe help clean up some of your other documentation along the way. We can provide updated Nutrition Facts panels, help you build a clean ingredient list, update your recipe documentation and just be helpful in general.

Our experience includes over 20 years in nutrition labeling and regulatory compliance at companies such as Kellogg’s, Gerber, American Home Foods, Keebler and Rich Products as well as more than 10 years in food analysis, quality assurance, food safety and product development at companies including Kellogg’s, Wyeth Nutritionals and Gordon Food Service.

We’ve worked on brands including Kellogg’s, Chef Boyardee, Special K, Gerber, Keebler, Eggo, Pop-Tarts, Rich Products, NutriGrain and Gordon Food Service private label.

At food-docs, we don’t claim to know what’s best for your company before meeting with you. We don’t come with a one-size-fits-all approach to labeling, documentation and compliance but rather seek to work with your existing systems and staff. We can help with a range of needs from simply providing compliant Nutrition Facts information to serving as your entire labeling staff, working cross-functionally to assure you meet the labeling deadlines in a cost-effective manner. We can also help your current labeling staff get up to speed on the new regulations or help you build an in-house labeling competency if that’s something you’d like to do.

Cross-Functional Coordination of Labeling Updates

Serve as liaison to internal and external partners to achieve labeling compliance in the most cost-effective manner; includes working with Marketing, R&D, Legal, Graphics, Procurement, Information Technology and others as needed to minimize packaging write-offs and to incorporate formulation changes and marketing programs into the timeline.
